Anja Høj Westerand, 45, lives in Espergærde - which is north of Copenhagen near Helsinor. Anja has two children, Natasha who is 11 years old and Nicholaj who is 13 years old. Her husband lives in Jutland due to his work, so he comes home over the weekends, Friday to Sunday, which allows for happy family time together.
Anja is really looking forward to her sail onboard Oceans of Hope. She has limited sailing experience, yet says that she has tried it enough to know that she is excited and eager to learn more. She has already contacted the local sailing club near her home, and will start to sail with the club and others in the spring of 2015 following her grand adventure on Oceans of Hope.
