Jérôme Pinsonnault

Crew

Jérôme is the first Canadian crew member to join Oceans of Hope. Jérôme was initiated to sailing in his teens. The Saint-Lawrence River was his playground every summer for about 10 years. He began sailing again four years ago when he had the chance to sail the English Channel from Plymouth to Eastbourne with a friend and his father. Since then, he’s been sailing on Lake Champlain every summer for short trips with family.

Jérôme’s older son of 4-years old was introduced to sailing at the age of 2 while his younger brother of 16-months can’t wait for his first experience! Jérôme enjoys sailing for being in the present. He enjoys the easy days as well as the challenging times… the moments shared with a great crew and the long lasting memories.

Jérôme was diagnosed with MS in 2007 at the age of 27, shortly after beginning his career as aerospace engineer for an aircraft manufacturer. In his own words:

"Sailing on Oceans of Hope is the life time unexpected adventure and I look forward to getting onboard!”
