I was raised in France and Europe until I was a teenager, when I returned to America to attend High School. The water has always been a part of my life.

It has always been a joy for me to be on the water. Power boating, scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming were activities enjoyed  by myself, friends and family for the majority of my life, I actually lived aboard for 18 months on a 34’ Columbia. My transition to sail began in 2010 . My son is into sailing and made sure I would be comfortable on his sailboat by registering me for an ASA 101 course for my birthday. He was completing his 104 so we went to class in the San Juans. What an adventure! My son does not view me with physical limitations and encourages me often.

As anyone knows who has this disease process, life stressors are often the catalysts for relapse. Working full-time became a challenge in 2005 for me. However, I  still  work 32 hours a week as a hospice nurse.

OOH will be the most exciting and physically challenging  endeavor  for me. I am energized by the mere thought of being part of a Team whose purpose is to bring awareness of this disease and HOPE to those who are afflicted by MS.   Never give up HOPE, and   know your  HOPE may need to be reframed to achieve the greatest life ever.
