Teresa Schirlbauer, 27, from Austria is a big fan of music, books, sports and coffee. She has just finished her bachelor’s degree in teaching and is currently working for a local magazine doing... everything! She was diagnosed in 2002 at age 14 and when she found Oceans of Hope on facebook she deciced to apply because it’s a once in a lifetime experience and also to prove to herself that she can still do things like that. So far, she says, the best thing about the journey has been: ”Meeting new people that share the same illness and seeing them work together as a team. I expected it would be hard work - but I did not expect the hospitality and care of everyone onboard”.
