An easy day at sea
We woke up to a warm, cloudy morning and the wind was as low as 3 mph. This meant that the engine was the only force moving us forward until late afternoon, when wind eventually picked up and the sails were finally set.
The time on board Oceans of Hope was spent fishing, reading or sleeping. It quickly turned into a day when no one felt like doing anything!
But spirits picked when pancakes were served for lunch and Nutella were passed around the table as if we had load of the stuff to share.
All in all we are excited to be heading in the right direction with no more stop-overs until the Atlantic has been crossed.
When asking Mikkel (Farver) how long the crossing will take, he replies firmly, “How long does a tennis match last?”
However, it looks like we will have good wind for sailing tonight and the days to come, and we all expect to cover a good distance.
