From the event: "Boston, USA"

Oceans of Hope is due to arrive in Boston on 8 September for the first American stopover of the 61,000-kilometre (33,000-nautical mile) global voyage, the first ever circumnavigation by a yacht with a working crew of people with multiple sclerosis.

You can get on board!

As part of our commitment to creating and strengthening ties between the MS and sailing communities we have organised some taster sailing sessions for people with MS during her stay in Boston.

“I’ll remember this forever!” and “It’s been wonderful being able to do something just for myself,” are two of the many comments from those who have been sailing with us in similar sessions in Portsmouth, La Rochelle and Lisbon.  But if you really want to know how much everyone enjoyed the experience, you just have to look at the faces in the pictures in our Sailing Day galleries.

On Monday 8 September between 10.30am and 1pm you will be able to sail on one of the boats we have chartered and be part of the flotilla to accompany Oceans of Hope as she arrives in Boston.

On Sunday 14 September we have two sessions available on board Oceans of Hope. These are from 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm.

All the sessions will depart from central Boston are free of charge to take part. We’ll provide waterproofs, safety equipment and refreshments to those taking part.

To register for a place please email katie.beney@seagrassuk.com and tell us which session you would like to take part in. Places will fill up quickly so don’t delay!
