Another day in paradise, and in case you’re still wondering what surprise the crew were plotting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the cat is finally out of the bag. Check out our Facebook page to find out what they’ve been up to.

Meanwhile, in Hamilton, Bermuda, the team is preparing to welcome a new crew member and preparations for the final stage of the Atlantic crossing to Bermuda are well in hand, according to Bertram Christensen, Oceans of Hope’s bosun.

“After a full wash down of the boat yesterday, the crew have just spent a few hours this morning with some general maintenance. We have run through the mast and the interior, to make sure everything is good to go for another oceanic leg before we reach Boston.

“Everything is in order, and the boat has been prepared for our newest crew member Susan, arriving this afternoon. We are all excited to meet her!

“Besides that, the crew is going to spend the day on a nearby beach until we open the boat for Open House to the local sailing community before our grand party this evening to welcome Susan on board.

“We might be ashore, but we still have plenty of things going on!”
