Bertram Provides the Latest Team News

OoH Oct 25, 2014, by Bertram Christensen in Yacht

This morning we woke up in beautiful scenery in the mouth of the Connecticut River - apparently the only major river mouth in the United States without a large port or urban area. The sun is up and the sky is blue, and we are just about to leave the Saybrook Point Marina where we spent the night. Greenport on Long Island is our destination today, bringing us steadily further west. To keep us shielded from the Atlantic swells, we are staying on the northern side of Long Island as we make our way toward Atlantic City. The wind today is out of the west and gives us perfect sailing conditions on a south-southwestern course.

Local time on board is 0936 and our current position is 41°16.992N 72°20.938W

Best,

Bertram
