I Felt My Brain and My Soul Becoming More Free - Blog by Eva Gerwing

OoH Oct 28, 2014, by Eva Gerwing in Yacht

Today was a perfect day!!! I got up at 7:00 a.m., went to the cockpit and saw a great sunrise. At 10:00 a.m. I had breakfast with my lovely crew. Patty bought a lot of fresh muffins for us. The weather was amazing for sailing: Sun and a lot of wind. As cold as the weather was, we all managed to stay comfortable because of our foul weather gear. We sailed along the shore of Long Island and all of us enjoyed it.

I felt my brain and my soul becoming more free and powerful over the last six days.

My body is a little bit slower than my brain but I hope than it will catch up. I think it takes more time..... I will tell you more the next time ;-)

We arrived at Greenport at 4:00 p.m. and we went for a walk in the nice little town and bought some souvenirs. For dinner we had a very tasty fish chowder. After dinner we made new plans for the next days and enjoyed looking at photos from the Oceans of Hope blog. The connection between us is growing closer, and we are having a lot of fun.

News from Bosun Bertram:

With 10-15 knots of wind out of northwest we are making our way back to Saybrook Point Marina at the mouth of the Connecticut river today. A nice 4 hour sail to take us back north on the coast of Connecticut before we make our way west the following days.

Local time is 11:00 and our current position is 41°06.244N 72°18.220W
