Oyster Bay and Other Colorful Bays - Blog by Bertram

OoH Nov 9, 2014, by Bertram Christensen in Yacht

Yesterday we pulled into a marina in the beautiful Oyster Bay after a morning sail up through East River. Once again, an amazing contrast just like we had it about 10 days ago, when we were coming from the sound and down East River - this time coming the other way. We spent the night in these beautiful surroundings with a nice dinner on board, before and today we have some planned maintenance; Change of main sail along with other minor check-ups on engine and interior. Most likely we will take the lady out for a spin afterwards and then spend the night in another colorful bay. The atmosphere onboard is warm and excited, despite the cold weather outside. Never has the heating system run this much!

Local time onboard is 08:30 and our current position is 40°52'695N 73°31'654W
