Let me briefly introduce myself: my name is Peter, I’m 44 years, and I come from the Netherlands.

On June 22 I travelled from the Netherlands to Kiel in Germany to embark on the yacht, Oceans of Hope, for the second leg of the voyage.

It’s very nice to travel with other people who have also been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, because we understand everything without asking.

With all the ropes on board this ship, it looks like the brain of somebody with multiple sclerosis; when there are problems, your sail might drop on the deck or it can be impossible to get up.

Today we are like a motorboat on the Kieler Kanal sailing to the harbour of Cuxhafen.  We are seeing a lot of very big commercial ocean vessels.  For the new people on board today it’s a nice day to be introduced to the ship, meet the crew and learn more about yourself.
