Maintenance in the Tropics

OoH Mar 12, 2015, by Bertram Christensen in Yacht

Report from Bosun Bertram:

After some well-earned rest in the little bay of Taiohae on Nuku Hiva, we are spending the day with maintenance on the steel lady. We are going through the rig, cleaning our winches, clearing the rust and resealing our hatches. A lot to be done in little time, but our crew of now one month is now well adjusted to the life on board. We are working efficiently in the early hours to enjoy some rest in the hottest hours of the day. In the afternoon we plan to wash down the boat and also we want to have a look if any of our halyards have been chafing during the Pacific Crossing.

Local time on board is 13:45 and our current position is 08.914547'S 140.100771'W.
