Oceans of Hope in Auckland, New Zealand

On Friday 8th May, the Oceans of Hope yacht and crew will arrive by 11:45am at The Royal NZ Yacht Squadron, Westhaven Marina where they will be met by friends and well-wishers. After an official welcome ceremony they will take part in the celebration of MS Auckland’s 50th anniversary.

The founder of the Sailing Sclerosis Foundation and the Oceans of Hope project, Mikkel Anthonisen will be there along with the MS Crew from around the globe: Mara Johnson from the States, Henny Eriksen from Denmark, Peter Bosch from the Netherlands, Greg Pugh from Australia, Craig Ruding from the States and Arne Madsen from Denmark.

Also taking part in the celebrations are: Ex-America’s Cup sailor and NZ Paralympian sailor Richard Dodson, Neil Woodhams, President of MS Auckland, Malcolm Rickerby, President of MS New Zealand, Therese Russel, CEO of MS Auckland as well as members of MS Auckland and MS New Zealand.
