While Oceans of Hope is in Auckland, the Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) of the Australian & New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN) is taking place (12-15 May). ANZAN is the largest regular gathering of neurologists in Australasia and expects over 400 delegates with speakers from across the world presenting immunology updates, neuroimmunology cases and more.

Oceans of Hope is berthed at the Viaduct Basin, very close to the Conference Centre and between 1200hrs and 1800hrs the yacht is open for conference delegates to visit onboard and meet some of the inspirational crew who have helped sail the yacht half way around the world. The yacht leaves Auckland on May 14th at 10 o'clock in the morning headed for Sydney where the MS crew will celebrate World MS Day.

Oceans of Hope will also have a stand at ANZAN 2015 where crew will be pleased to share information and their experiences with the voyage.

“The neurological convention in Auckland is the ending to our trip – in the ‘City of Sails.’ I’m excited that they want me to be a part of it,” said Craig Ruding, MS crew from the USA.
