New Zealand Marine Industry supports Oceans of Hope

OoH May 18, 2015, by Oceans of Hope News team in Events

During the extremely busy and successful Oceans of Hope stopover in Auckland, the yacht required some rapid maintenance solutions. Fitting this work in around the hectic day sailing schedule, we are extremely thankful to the local NZ Marine Industry for their kind assistance, speedy service and flexible approach.

In particular we would like to thank Vessel Management Services (VMS) who carried out the all important engine service and also, at very short notice, replaced the onboard electric toilet. VMS Managing Director, Sam Harris, co-ordinated the work perfectly. VMS are a boutique marine services company focused on establishing quality partnerships with motor yacht owners in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific Islands. Their team of commercial captains, deck hands, engineers, and boat builders combined with carefully selected contractors are able to deliver a complete management solution for all manner of vessels. Oceans of Hope can whole-heartedly recommend VMS.

We would also like to thank the following companies for their enthusiastic support in helping to keep Oceans of Hope in tip-top condition:

DM Electronics for their help in sourcing contractors and trouble-shooting our electronic problems; DBF Limited for fixing our autopilot hydraulic pump; North Sails New Zealand for servicing our sails; Rigpro Auckland for fixing some of our chafed lines.

A huge thank you to everyone – you have truly helped us in our mission to improve the lives of people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
