My favourite Oceans of Hope moment – Brenden Edwards
Approximately two thirds of the way between Cairns and Cape York (the North Eastern tip of Australia), I was on an early morning watch (1.30 - 4.30).
There was a full moon on a balmy night. More stars than could be counted. Combine this with half a dozen to a dozen shooting stars and satellites buzzing across the night sky.
I was more than happy to stay on beyond my finish time as Oceans of Hope powered by a solid wind surged along at a solid 10 - 12 knots.
The images of that night are permanently etched in my memory - absolutely sensational.
