Slowly getting there - report from Bosun Josefine

OoH Sep 15, 2015, by Josefine Lykke in Yacht

The past couple of days our team in Istanbul have put great effort and many hours in preparing Oceans of Hope for another thousands of miles at sea.

We have raised the 26,5 meters mast, mounted the boom, and put on the 200 kg main sail. We have had local mechanics help us produce a custom made shaft for the propeller and replaced the existing one that was damaged in Singapore. We have double checked our safety equipment and put everything in its right place. We have tidied and cleaned out the cabins and the galley. And - most importantly - raised the Turkish guest flag.

We are slowly getting there and looking so much forward to welcoming MS Crew #13 on Wednesday. The weather report looks very promising for take-off!
