Report from a Cabin – Same but Different - Blog by Iben and Christina

Living two people in a 3.5 square meter space could be a huge challenge. Surprisingly it is possible, but then again a lot on this boat seems to be possible.

We share the same diagnoses, but being diagnosed with MS doesn't define our personalities and who and what we are. Iben, the relaxed one, and Christina, the structured one - we make it work since we share one very important thing – tolerance…

It is really interesting to see the different 'states' our bunks are in – the one from Iben being cozy and very full, while Christina's is well organized and neat – reflecting two complete opposites. Still we both are able to be ready on deck at the same time, wearing the right gear, both with a smile on our faces.

On a practical level each of us has two small boxes of approximately six gallons each where more or less all of our things are stored. A part from that, each of us has two hangers for our jackets/towels/handbags and a small storage space as part of the bed area. And that is it.

Interesting enough, you really quickly get used to not having more space than that and you realize you do not need as many things as you think you do... Hopefully we will bare that in mind when we return to our daily routines in Denmark. :)
