In the Islands - Report by Bertram

OoH Jan 31, 2015, by Bertram Christensen in Yacht

20 nautical miles off the coast of Panama City and we have found heaven on
earth - yet another one... A tropical island with no one but ourselves
to pick the coconuts off the palm trees and play frisbee on the beach. And
right next to heaven on earth, anchored with 50 meters of chain you'll find
an orange boat with an excited crew ready to go to the Galapagos. We have
postponed departure 24 hours, because of the latest situation on board.

Leaving Panama City we seem to have brought some viral infection from the
less than hygienic public toilets, and currently we have three crew members waiting
to get better before we head to sea. Only four days on board, not even at sea
yet, and our crew is faced with their first challenge as a team. It's no
fun and games right now, but everyone is chipping in, and as someone said
earlier in the cockpit - there are worse places we could be stuck for the
night!

Local time on board is 18:30 and our current position is 8,35.77N, 79,36.6W.
