With one of the most common symptoms of MS being overheating provoking other symptoms like numbness, stiffness, weakness and even vision loss, it was very important on this stage of the sailing from Cairns to Darwin, which saw average temperatures in the low 30’s, to keep as cool as possible.

One of our lovely team, Bente, was particularly suffering on this day and requested we help her cool down. Although I’m not a Doctor I decided that a prescription of cold water would help her overcome the heat... we are still friends…..JUST! :)

The camaraderie shown in a group of individuals with a common illness from all walks life and parts of the globe was absolutely fantastic and created eternal memories for myself. My thanks to Tini, Cindy, Bente, Andy, Brenden and of course Mikkel, Kristian and Bo.
