It almost seems like my own boat - Blog by Beth
Spent a few days anchored at the lovely Island of Mo’orea. On the second day we all went in for lunch at a tiny food cart, a small walk up the single beach road. Had an excellent vanilla ginger Mahi Mahi and chilled young coconut. Yum.
The tropic heat, the short walk and my sunburn quickly overheated me (again) and when offered, I took the opportunity to go back to the boat.
I sat alone on the cabin top deck, newly cleaned, for the sail to Bora Bora. It may have seemed a bit anti-social, but I enjoyed it immensely. There was such beautiful scenery, it was calm, quiet and serene. It almost seemed like my own boat.
That evening at dinner it was pointed out that membership in Sailing Sclerosis makes Oceans of Hope my boat. I am starting to believe them.
Report from Bosun Bertram:
Pearl diving, snorkeling and lots of naps in the two hammocks on the foredeck. We have enjoyed a beatiful day off, anchored in plain sight from the beach. The atmosphere onboard is joyful and excited from the good times people are having, knowing that soon we will take on the challenge of sailing the vessel to our next destination of US Samoa.
