Helle Kirstine, 49, is from Copenhagen. She was diagnosed with MS in 2005. She now works 1/3 time as a paper conservator in Copenhagen where she lives with her friend Martin who she met at the MS hospital in Haslev nine years ago.
As a young woman she spent time as a guest on sailboats and also went on a couple of sailing holidays. She feels that she was lucky to have sailing friends and family that took her along on their adventures. Helle started sailing again last summer when she spent a week at the Egmonthøjskolens sailing course.
In her own words, “Living with MS often means a lot of worrying. I am looking forward to be going sailing with Oceans of Hope. To be taking part in this very positive adventure.”
