Eva, 53, lives with her husband in Germany. Their two daughters are in school. She is a dentist and a teacher. Eva was diagnosed with MS in 1998.
When she saw an article about Ocean of Hope she was so excited that she immediately wrote an email to the project managers. After her daughters moved out of the house, she began to travel. Eva has traveled considerably in Italy, Spain and the United States for sightseeing and language courses although she encountered problems walking. Undeterred, she used buses, taxis and walked slowly with many rests.
In her own words, “And then I saw the Oceans of Hope. It is so great to show patients with this disease to do something like this. For me it is a gorgeous chance to be a part of the crew and sail a leg with the Oceans of Hope.”
